Throughout the years, I have been around people with diabetes and coached a few diabetics. Even though it's a very challenging disease that affects people physically, mentally, and emotionally. It can also lead to a healthier lifestyle. Diabetes does not need to control your life, you can manage it, learn to live with it, and make peace with it.
Yes, it takes some work to learn the skills and techniques to decrease the impact on your health, but it's worth it. I have seen clients go from having very high and low's sugar levels, being really irritable- moody all the time, overweight and just miserable to becoming lighter and happier. It's exhausting for the body to be in a constant rollercoaster of emotions when sugar levels are off, however when teaching the mind and body to cope with it the results are really amazing.
